Hello my friends,
Last week I announced on our Facebook and Twitter pages that I have accepted the position of Chief Editor of Dental Economics. This is really my dream job and I couldn’t be more excited to get to work.
First of all I want to thank you for your support over the past four (almost five) years that I’ve been writing on this blog. It’s helped me confirm my passion for thinking and writing about our profession. We’ve discussed materials, philosophies, politics, techniques… I can’t think of anything that has been off limits. And you’ve joined the conversations in the always active comments sections, you’ve shared posts on social media, and you’ve come to see me lecture around the country. I love being a dentist, but I really love engaging with you about dentistry.
I will continue to write The Curious Dentist as I take on my new role. It will remain a separate entity from the magazine. I will also continue to practice 2-3 days per week in my office. The rest of the week will be devoted to developing content for Dental Economics and some of their related online properties. And that’s where I’d like your help again.
What do you want to see? What topics haven’t been covered? Personally, I still have a million questions about our profession, particularly in the realm of practice management. The difference now is that we have access to some of the greatest minds in dentistry. I can direct one of the talented authors in DE to tackle your toughest questions. Think about what we can learn together with these new resources at our disposal.
So please write me, publically or privately, about what you’d like to see on the pages of DE. I’ve started a new chapter of my life and I’m glad you’re with me for the ride.
Best,
Chris
